Restoration Workday – Woodside Elementary

Once again we were graced with a fantastic group of volunteers who came out and helped us plant over 200 natives at Woodside Elementary this past weekend. Thank you for all your hard work!

Many of you helped us remove Vinca major (a foul, invasive, exotic plant that does nearly nothing to support a healthy, native food web. BOOOO!) from the creek bank. Not only did this help protect the existing native plant community, but it also helped free up new resources (space, sun, nutrients, etc.) for new native plants to grow. Well done!
